Foundry Engineer for China


Together with a small team of specialists, you will lead the steel foundry on its path to continued success. You will take technical and managerial responsibility for produc- tion (including moulding shop, melting operations and after-treatment of castings).


For this challenging management task, you hold an engineering degree in foundry technology. You have several years of management experience in the foundry sector and a suitable track record. Experience in the steel casting industry is absolutely es- sential. International experience would make it easy for you to get off to a fl ying start. You are an assertive leader who is accustomed to working in an independent and goal-oriented manner.

NO BAKE MOLDING MANAGER—Job Description: This position is responsible for managing the overall operations of the no bake foundry, which includes core making and molding, to ensure a continuous fl ow of production through the plant. Responsibilities include all phases of produc- tion process, budgeting and scheduling for the department, and ownership of quality/cost of the fi nished product. Basic Duties and Responsibili- ties: Manage 10 to 15 plant workers in core room and molding operations; Work with the scheduling department to develop daily and weekly produc- tion requirements; Maintain inventory levels on all raw materials and coordinate with purchasing department to determine low-cost suppliers and preferred vendors; Work with Pattern Shop Man- ager to design tooling for the No Bake operation, monitor tooling wear over time, and schedule needed repairs with the pattern shop; Coordinate with maintenance department on required PM’s and corrective maintenance work orders; Owner- ship of the overall quality and cost for product manufactured on the No Bake molding line; Train workers in no bake process and in operations of no bake equipment. Minimum Requirements: BS degree preferred or equivalent experience in foundry management; 5-7 years of experience in supervisory or management position in a No Bake foundry. • Have teaching and/or coaching experience


• Possess 5 years of hands-on experience in the metalcasting industry


• Feel comfortable with speaking to large groups


• Be willing to teach at least twice per year and travel


• Wish to participate in a train-the-trainer program, and a yearly evaluation and improvement process
