GM to Retool Sagniaw Facility GM, Detroit, has announced plans to retool its


Saginaw Metal Casting plant, Saginaw, Mich. It is part of a $256 million investment to make a new, more efficient V-6 engine exclusively. According to WNEM.com, a spokesperson for the


automaker said fewer than 100 employees would be laid off from the plant beginning mid- June. The jobs may return when the re- building inside the factory is complete. Approximately 120 skilled employees reportedly will stay while the work is ongoing.


Saginaw currently builds V-6 and V-8 motors. QUALITY CERTIFICATIONS
