MACHINE SAFETY Bright light, tough exterior

PATLITE's new CLK-LED work light is resistant to water, oil, dust and chemicals. With 2,100 Lux it has an unusually high luminous intensity for perfect illumination of the workplace.

he specialist for visual and audible signalling devices offers its newest work light in an aluminium or stainless steel housing, depending on the area of application. The aluminium version is water-, dust- and oil-tight and therefore ideal for use in rough environments, such as engineering shops and production halls. The version with the stainless steel housing is also water- and dust-tight and

T resistant to chemicals, which

makes it suitable for use in the medical, chemical and food industries. The special design of the light fixture prevents dust from accumulating. Water and oil simply slide off the surface. The surface of the light glass, available in

tempered or acrylic glass, is also easy to clean. Patlite's newest LED work light complies with protection classes IP 67G, IP 68G and IP 69K.

Non-glare lenses The specially designed micro-array lenses compensate the refraction of light for a constant, uniform light emission

over the entire length. The lens design fulfils the

safety requirements for non-laser optical radiation in accordance with EN 62471-2 for the photobiological safety of lamps and lamp systems. This ensures non-flickering operation of the CLK-LED lights without stroboscopic effects and also eliminates the danger of direct damage to the human retina. The emitted light contains neither infrared nor UV radiation. The lamp therefore generates no heat that could damage materials or products.

Easy mounting

Mounting the work light is achieved by sliding the fixture over the wall fitting. A set screw holds it securely in place. In addition, PATLITE will soon offer an adjustable wall mount, which makes it possible to adjust the light in 10° steps from an angle of 0° to 60°. An extra flat, space-saving mount will also be available soon.

Large selection of lengths and connections The aluminium version of the CLK-LED light bar

is available in lengths of 200, 300 and 600

millimetres. For the 300 and 600 mm versions Patlite offers a standard cable connector, as well as an M12 plug-in connector or an M12 loop-through connector. In the stainless steel version the new work lights are available in a length of 300 millimetres with an M12 plug-in connector. All CLK-LED work lights operate reliably in a temperature range from -40°C to +60°C.

onnection expert Wieland Electric is launching selosWT, a new generation of terminal blocks that have been designed to provide a secure and maintenance-free connection, optimized and time- saving handling adds up to a considerable reduction in costs. The selos series of products combine the classic screw connection with modern connection technology, with the focus on customer benefits and increased efficiency.

C

Whether a single solid-conductor wire or multi-stranded wire is used or if a wire end ferrule is present or not, selos provides a simple and secure electrical connection. Owing to the large amount of terminal space, universal connection and easy expansion through the use of multi-wire connections are possible at any time. At the same time, the proven Wieland screw connection technology guarantees a secure, maintenance-free and long lasting connection. The special clamping element design with its single-lead thread ensures a high quality and uniform connection, even when rewiring and reconnecting. The compact proportions of selos are an additional benefit and a result of the uniform and optimized design as well as the considerably fewer number of accessories. Time savings are easily achieved with selos during assembly and wiring, thanks to the simple and screwless ground blocks and the plug-in connecting links and adapters. All terminals blocks in the series feature a two-row, plug-in jumpering channel. This permits variable potential distribution through the use of a daisy-chaining arrangement, since any number of plug-in jumpers can be connected in succession as required, whilst the use of standard variants permits cost savings for inventory.

Selos has been designed to mesh seamlessly with Wieland accessories, which share a uniform

configuration and can be used throughout the range. The user has the choice of any Wieland connection technology whilst having the benefit of using established accessories. The intelligent design guarantees a secure connection even when it is subjected to vibrations and provides a reliable connection even under the harshest ambient conditions. With the launch of selos WT, Wieland Electric offers a series of rail terminal blocks that combine many user-friendly characteristics in a single product, giving the user distinct advantages in terms of flexibility, economy and reliability.
