What’s best about your job?
‘I love the challenges, I love being on site and knowing there isn’t anything that can’t be fixed (within reason). I love providing a logistically sound environment for attendees to learn. Love working with people from hotel to board. Love that meetings have a start and finish. Most of all, I love collaborating with my colleagues to plan and execute a successful meeting.’
‘I manage a cross-divisional team and am responsible for pulling together all aspects of a major citywide medical convention. It’s hard work, and stressful at times, but when it all comes together, it’s priceless.’
51+21+28+x What’s worst?
‘Bureaucracy and interaction with leadership who don’t understand the meetings industry and present unnecessary challenges; dealing with revolving door of board members and egos.’
