resort, golf, & spa meetings The Homestead A national treasure completes its next chapter
Tucked away on 3,000 acres in Virginia’s Allegheny Mountains, the historic Home- stead has played host to groups and visitors since 1766 — including 22 U.S. presidents. The 483-room property offers 72,000 square feet of meeting and function space as well as an array of on-site activities and amenities, from two championship golf courses to horseback riding. This summer, the resort will complete a
$25-million transformation. The new Canyon Ranch SpaClub at The Homestead will fea- ture an adults-only spa garden with every- thing from natural hot springs to a Finnish sauna. Groups can also merge work and play with a lively team-building challenge on the
new Mini Cascades, an 18-hole miniature golf course, or with Segway relay races. The resort’s culinary offerings have also expand- ed with the new Jefferson’s Grill and Lounge, opening this summer, and Canyon Ranch Café, which serves Mediterranean- and Asian- inspired healthy cuisine.
