Animals in 3D! Dutch zoo introduces walk-through attraction
As the first part of a massive transformation planned at Dierenpark Emmen zoo in the Netherlands, Jora Entertainment has developed a new attraction called 3D Animal Experience. Wearing special glasses, guests wander through themed habitats, unlocking a world full of “3D” effects, illusions, scents and soundtracks. Xi’an, China The latest visitor attraction at China’s Hua Qing Chi hot springs resort in Xi’an (capital of the Shaanzi Province), The Song Of Unending Sorrow is a fusion of traditional storytelling, song and musicianship married with the very latest in audiovisual technology.
Based on a 19th Century poem by Bai Juyi, the show uses more than 30 licences of Dataton’s Watchout image-manipulation and show-control software, driving over 50 multiple high-power projectors, holographic screens, special effects and audio. These are synchronised with live actors, musicians and custom-made scenery inside a four-level digital theatre. “Bai Juyi’s epic
poem tells the story of the Tang Dynasty emperor Xuan Zong and his ill-fated love for a female consort, explains Yang Guifei of Audio Visual Technique, Dataton's local partner. “Nobody who sees it can fail to be moved by it.”
