TO ENHANCE THE development of its brand, Connecting Industry (part of Datateam Business Media’s portfolio of publications) has undergone an ABC audit of circu- lation, thus providing advertisers assurance of the brand’s reach and overall brand performance. Connecting Industry (CI) wanted to provide its clients and advertis- ers with the ability to make informed media buying decisions across more channels as media

budgets now span print, online, e- mail etc. With the Connecting Industry website having relaunched in 2012, this also pre- sented an ideal opportunity to bring the various titles within the portfo- lio together under the Connecting Industry brand in a more measured and harmonised way.

The new ABC multi-platform certificate (MPC) was used as it is ideally positioned to assist in the cross platform audit for the CI

A focus on robotic automation

HI-TECH AUTOMATION WILL showcase the inte- gration of robotic automation with a high speed load/unloader and an injection moulding machine at the PDM13 Exhibition, Telford, 18th-19th June. A strategic partner of FANUC UK, Hi-Tech Automation will demonstrate the flexibility offered by a six axes FANUC M-10iA robot, used in conjunction with a Hi-Tech manufactured high speed side loader. The demonstration will illustrate how short cycle times can be maintained even when loading inserts or labels and, integrated with FANUC’s new ROBOSHOT S100-iA moulding machine, Hi-Tech will demonstrate the performance and productivity gains achievable through FANUC’s common control platform. Making its first UK appearance, the FANUC

Datateam Business Media’s cir- culation manager, Alex Wetton, said, “As the only industrial pub- lishers to have invested into this fantastic multi-platform certificate we are delighted to be able to have the endorsement of the ABC as we continue to invest, market and promote our magazines, newslet- ters and website to the industrial sector. This offers unrivalled opportunities when discussing our customers’ requirements against that of our competitors.” To read to full story visit:

WEG launch new energy reduction initiative

WEG HAS LAUNCHED a new energy reduction initiative which

is designed to help manufacturers optimise efficiencies of existing equipment throughout their plants and processes.

The free assessment reviews equipment and outlines a number of steps manufacturers can take to reduce energy use and increase equipment efficiency and reliabil- ity, enabling them to minimise costs, reduce their carbon footprint and total cost of ownership. “Today there is greater pressure than ever on organisations to min- imise their carbon footprint and reduce their costs and at WEG

we’re committed to increasing energy efficiency, offering cus- tomers valuable choices on how they can best enhance their bottom line,” said Daniel Griffiths, prod- uct specialist - automation, at WEG. “Our energy efficient tech- nologies like the W22 electric motors and our CFW inverter drives can play a real role in help- ing them to do both. Our products are always designed to increase energy efficiency, reduce noise and temperature levels, reduce size and increase reliability.” www.wegreducingenergy.com
