Taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, on 4th-6th June 2013, The Total Processing & Packaging Exhibition incorporates PAKEX, The PPMA Show and Interphex, covering every aspect of the processing and packaging industry. Here, Automation magazine takes a closer look at just some of this year’s 300+ exhibitors, and the products and technologies that will be on show

Stand D60: At TOTAL 2013 R. A. Rodriguez will be featuring its Universal Robot offering, particularly how complementary technology can now add intelligence and even greater scope of application. The Universal Robot provides six axes of movement and is quick to install, can be easily moved around the factory and the user interface is simple to learn. As Universal Robots are in compliance with the ISO standard for collaborative

robots, they can be operated without safety guarding, providing the application meets certain criteria. R. A. Rodriguez will also be demonstrating its IEF Werner systems that are designed to provide the efficient transfer of work pieces to and from assembly lines, often integrating end of line processes such as part marking and testing. www.rarodriguez.co.uk T: 01462 670 044
