Top Emerging Olympic- Path Athletes: Anna Weilbacher – A 15-year-old sophomore, Weilbacher started shooting shotgun, pistol and rifl e in the 4-H Shooting Project about three years ago. About a year and a half ago, she decided that she really enjoyed rifl e and has decided to focus only on rifl e and wants to pursue it through college. She one day hopes to be an Olympian. She competed at the recent 2013 National Junior Olympic Shooting Cham- pionships where she fi nished 30th overall in the Women’s 3P
participated in several NRA Na- tional team matches and was a part of setting 17 new national NRA records in prone matches. She fi nished 39th overall at the recent 2013 National Junior Olympic Shooting Champion- ships in the Women’s 3P Rifl e event. Attending college has always been one of Villa’s goals and now she has added the goal of shooting for one of the top college rifl e teams in the nation. Villa’s long term goals are to be- come a member of the Junior National Team and ultimately the National and Olympic Teams.
Matt Chezm – Trained at LAR&R for several years, now on a rifl e scholarship at Ohio University. Qualifi ed as a USA Shooting National Junior Team member in 2012 after his success at the National Junior Olympic Shoot- ing Championships.
World Cup Rifl e Team — Recently equipped with 17 units of SIUS Electronic Target system (2012) partially spon- sored by California Rifl e and Pis- tol Association (CRPA).
