Meet Dan Davis, host of AAA Colorado’s
EnCompass TV show Dan Davis tells anyone who asks that he’s had the travel bug since he was very young, beginning when he “disappeared” on a family ice-skating trip because he just had to see what was around the next corner. During college, Dan worked at a summer camp in Arizona, where he guided campers around the American Southwest and deep into Mexico for month-long tours. Dan is a veteran of TV news,
and he brings his great sense of storytelling to AAA Colorado’s EnCompass TV Show. Dan has covered more than his share of hard news stories, including the deadly 1989 San Francisco/World Series Earthquake, Hurricane Andrew when it moved west from Florida and struck the Gulf Coast in 1992, and the NFL’s announce- ment in New York City that the Cardinals would move from St. Louis to Phoenix. Dan has always looked for ways
to combine his work as a reporter with his love of traveling. Over the years, he somehow convinced his bosses to send him to Hong Kong, Tokyo, Costa Rica and Calgary. With his role as host and
producer of AAA Colorado’s EnCompass TV, Dan continues to fi nd adventure in his travels, yet it’s the people he meets along the way that make his stories stand out. Dan is a graduate of Ohio
University, he’s married, and together they raised two children, now grown.
