with the shopping centre, which welcomes 5.5million visitors through its doors every year, since 2010. The company provides a teamof 10 cleaning operatives, led by a cleaning servicesmanager, who are responsible for cleaning all common parts, service areas, malls, toilet facilities and themanage- ment suite, as well as high level glazing, shop fronts and entrances. Melvin Glasby, centreman-

ager at Queens Square, said: “I have high expectations when it comes to suppliers, and in any tender process I amnot only looking for best value, but also best practice in accordance with RICS guidelines. In a cleaning company, the organisation must be able to deliver the highest standards of cleanli- ness, customer service, and indeed personal appearance,

because how the cleaners present themselves and maintain their equipment is yet another factor that con- tributes to customers’ over- all impression of the centre. Since winning the contract, LPMhas proved its worth time and time again. The company is excellent at re- solving any issues within a very short period of time, and has therefore earnedmy complete trust.” The on-site teamhas also

impressed Glasby: “The cleaning servicesmanager - June James - is an excellent leader and the teamworks very well together, as well as with other staff at the centre including our security officers. We have weekly on- sitemeetings as well as monthlymeetings with our regionmanager, so every- thing ismonitored accord-

ingly. We are a very happy customer.” Alistair Clayton, business

development director for LPM, said that servicing shopping centres is one of LPM’s key areas of expertise: “Queens Square is one of over 25 shopping centres that we currently work with; the shopping centre environ- ment is one that LPMhas extensive experience within and, as a result, is an area where we feel we completely understand customers’ needs and expectations. We are very pleased to have built up such a strong relationship with Queens Square over the years and are absolutely de- lighted to be able to support Mel and the centre through its exciting refurbishment programme, and to further evidence our commitment to delivering exceptional levels of standards and service. This is replicated in the strong, consistent levels of delivery seen throughout our shopping centre portfolio, which are testament to the hard work and commitment of JeanetteMcDonald, LPM’s shopping centre champion, and our operational teams locally and nationally.” www.lpmcleaning.co.uk
