IN BRIEF

OMG! Christian music hits the charts Following a surge in popularity of Christian-inspired tunes, an official chart has been launched for the genre – for the first time ever. ‘The Official Christian and Gospel Albums Chart Top 20’ is expected to feature breakthrough artists such as Friar Allesandro, a Franciscan monk who has recently signed a major record deal. The company behind the new chart cited figures

indicating that 7.6 million adults go to church every month as demonstrative of the music’s potential for success.

CARROT SHAPED STICK There may be honour among thieves, but it appears bravery is in short supply, after burglars were scared off by a rabbit. The intruders made off with some of Kimberley May’s possessions but some items had been dropped on the sofa, after the prisoners-in-waiting were startled by the family’s two-foot-long rabbit, Toby, stamping his feet on the floor.

YOU’VE BEEN GOOGLED A fornicating fiancé was found out after his wife-to-be saw him with another woman on the Russian equivalent of Google Maps. Marina Voinova was searching for an address on Yandex Maps when she recognised her partner of five years, Sasha. When he got home, she asked him to search for the same address online and watched the colour drain from his face. Unluckily for Sasha, Yandex doesn’t blur out people’s faces like Google. Oops.
