SUGAR TURNS SOUR Apprentice star sues Sir Alan Sugar Stella English, the winner of the 2010 edition of BBC One’s The Apprentice is suing Sir Alan Sugar for constructive dismissal. English won a £100,000 contract to work as an apprentice at Sugar’s IT business Viglen in 2010. However, she claims there wasn’t enough work for her to do and she was no more than an “overpaid lackey”, filling a role that existed only for the benefit of the TV series. Sugar’s response is that her accusations are “a figment of her imagination,” and “typical of her struggling to deal with the truth or facts”.
