For vehicle security, the car is equipped

with the Trans-Tag Restore Solution, which has a number of features to control the ve- hicle should the car be stolen or inappropri- ately used.

Solution providers This competition has created a unique op- portunity for world class solutions providers to work together. The system boots up with the Innaxys GIS system, which is a sophis- ticated command and control system that includes mapping. The Innaxys solution seamlessly provides launch keys for other solutions implemented in the vehicle. Key police processes such as witness

statement taking and burglary report- ing is provided by Kelvin Connect Pronto. Evidence can be collected both inside and

outside of the car using both computing platforms, and the back offi ce system can be accessed within the vehicle, allowing the car to become a mobile offi ce / incident room. Both computing platforms run the

Civica ANPR solution, providing an effi cient and cost eff ective ANPR opportunity in a more day to day police vehicle. Handheld ANPR on the C Series will allow offi cers to walk around car parks to establish if vehicles are stolen. Daetech have provided their world class

forensic solution including specialised handheld hardware which can connect directly into the vehicle. This enables evidence gathering from video security systems, allowing rapid sharing of images and video information.

The general public are able to share with

offi cers critical information that they may have captured on their mobile phones or other devces using the Facewatch solution. This enables key eye witnesses to present

evidence which can be rapidly and eff ec- tively distributed within police systems. The systems implemented on the car

allow four many ways of capturing images of suspects. Imagebase have provided a solution that takes that ‘wanted’ informa- tion and uses automatic facial recognition and biometrics enabling the vehicle to automatically identify suspects as they walk past. Every solution described has far reaching

capabilities and have been developed for real policing. You can fi nd more information regarding these solutions within this magazine.
