Third Suspect Arrested in Oklahoma Truck and Trailer Theft

N MID-DECEMBER 2012, THE THIRD AND FINAL SUSPECT IN A STOLEN TRUCK AND trailer investigation was arrested after an investigation headed by Special Ranger John Cummings. According to authorities, the sus-
pects allegedly stole a pickup truck and trailer from a rancher in Mayes County. The suspects then stripped the truck in Cherokee County and sold it for parts in Cherokee and Delaware counties. Randi Jean Whorton, 29, of Oaks, Okla., was charged and arrested
for knowingly concealing stolen property. Whorton was taken into custody in Delaware County and held on a $2,500 bond. Earlier in December, Tyler Lynn Johnson, 25, Tahlequah, Okla.,
was charged in Cherokee and Mayes counties for theft and knowingly concealing stolen property. He was released on a $2,500 bond. Zach- ary Shane Gann, 22, Tahlequah, Okla., was also charged in Delaware County with knowingly concealing stolen property. Gann was released on a $2,500 bond. Authorities recovered some parts of the truck and the trailer, which
was intact and returned to the owner. The case is now pending court proceedings. “The successful outcome of this investigation was a joint effort between
TSCRA and the various law enforcement agencies involved,” said Cum- mings.
