Feature Exhibition Preview More motive power innovation

EnerSys will be highlighting the performance, efficiency and energy saving capabilities of the latest motive power innovations in its Hawker battery, charger and management systems at IMHX - stand 20F30.

The new Hawker XFC-Li bat- tery (pictured) is the first motive power design from EnerSys with advanced Lithium-ion technology. The XFC technology means the bat- tery can be opportunity charged during inactive periods, irre- spective of state of discharge, without degrading its long term performance or reliability. It is well suited for pallet trucks with duty cycles lasting up to 45

minutes and where operators want to maintain equipment availability without the com- plexity and cost of additional infrastructure. This includes intermittent handling applica- tions such as offloading deliv- ery vehicles or replenishing displays in retail environments. Also on show at IMHX will be the new 24V Hawker XFC battery with 82A capacity and the Hawker LifeSpeedIQ chargers. Battery management innova- tions introduced during 2012 include the Hawker BSI40 and Hawker LifeNetworkIQ battery management systems. These pro- vide electric lift truck and other mechanical handling equipment operators with flexible, adaptable and advanced battery manage- ment for fleets of all sizes. Each system offers energy saving, per- formance optimisation and other capabilities to promote life-long service reliability, efficiency and economy when used with high frequency chargers and batteries from the Hawker range.
