ORBITAL SOUNDhas announced that its 12th annual Sound Fundamentals for Theatre training course will take place from 2-5 April 2013. To date, the company has trained over 250 students since the course began running in 2001. Leading the training this year
are Orbital’s Richard Carter and Alex Waddle, who will tutor up to 24 students at the company’s purpose-built training facility in Brixton, south London. Confirmed for the event are hands-on sessions from d&b audiotechnik, Shure and Yamaha Commercial Audio, and a backstage tour of a production in London’s West End. Training modules will include
show control, radio microphones, video communications and networking, covering a wide range of practical and technical disciplines that cover the scope of today’s live sound applications. Drama schools and other interested students are
recommended to register their interest as soon as possible by contacting Orbital’s training
