tell me a little about your involvement in this deal.
Our law firm was hired to provide legal advice for this transaction, including due diligence of the five companies to be acquired and actively working in the drafting of the documents for the transaction, in coordination with colleagues in other jurisdictions.
What were the main challenges & complexities for you and your company regarding this transaction?
This is the largest M & A in Paraguay´s telecom history,
involving multiple jurisdictions;
understandably, there were many challenges to be surmounted.
Is this a typical transaction for you? What other types of transaction have you been involved in?
Our law firm has been very active in M & As in
recent times, including the acquisition of around 35 million dollars of Frigobeef meet and packing company by our Brazilian client Minerva. This is the largest transaction in Paraguay´s history in this important sector of the economy of Paraguay.

International contracts. Arbitration. M & As. Banking and Capital Markets Law. Foreign investments in general.
How has this transaction differed from your previous work?
This transaction was very demanding and time-consuming, involving twelve highly- specialized attorneys of our law firm, working in close coordination with other legal teams in multiple jurisdictions.

Millicom has now assumed management control of cablevision Paraguay and will consolidate the operation’s results. the results for cablevision Paraguay will be reported as part of the South america region.
Millicom International cellular S.a. is a global telecommunications group with mobile telephony operations in 13 countries in Latin america and africa. It also operates various combinations of fixed telephony, cable and broadband businesses in five countries in central america. the Group’s mobile operations have a combined population under license of approximately 270 million people.
