CLUB CONNECTION: BOSTON, MASS

Beers and cheers: In November the Skidmore Club of Boston put togeth-

er a fun and informative tour of the Sam Adams Brewery in Jamaica Plain. About a dozen alumni and parents took part in the gathering, featuring a behind- the-scenes look at the brewmaster’s craft led by employee Adam Cupples ’08, followed by a tasting session. Event organizer Colleen Barber Hursh ’04 says the small size of the group al- lowed for “a very intimate, close-up tour.” Afterward, the group enjoyed appetizers and cocktails at the nearby Bella Luna Restaurant & Milky Way Lounge. Faith Towers ’05, who joined the party there, says, “The food was very good, and it seemed like lots of new people attended. In true Skidmore fashion, everyone sat down together family-style at a long table and chat- ted for hours.” —PD
