Elward Patrick (BA ’97) celebrated his 10th anniversary as a professional web developer. His web development company continues to grow, servicing small business throughout Chicago.


Michael P. Jula, DC (BS ‘97), is a full-time instructor and attending physician in the clinic system at Logan College of Chiropractic, near St. Louis. He is a 2004 Logan graduate.


Trea P. Laraia (BA ’97) welcomed her second child, Luciano Ettore Oak Pimental, on October 7, 2010. Luciano joins his big sister, Hansa.


Toby R. Nathan (MSIR ‘97) has joined talentRISE, a Chicago-based talent management consultancy and recruiting firm, as senior associate partner.


Ramsey Bacerott (BA ’98) works at Pinnacle Biologics as the photodynamic therapy sales specialist for the Midwest. He and his wife have five children: Ramsey Jr., Isabella Nicole, Gianna Krysten, Miranda Chloe, and Olivia Claire. The family resides in Palos Hills, Illinois.


Michelle Burton (BA ’98) owns and operates MCB Media, which provides writing and editing services for major publishing firms, websites, and other media companies throughout the US and Canada. MCB Media has been in existence since 2005.


Michael A. Gambatese (BA ‘98) and his wife, Gianna I. Franzia (JFRC ‘97), are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter, Giuliana Franzia Gambatese, on April 27, 2012. She joins siblings Giada and Lucca.


Philip Herold (BA ’98, JFRC ’96) lives in the Portland, Oregon, metro area with his wife and young son. He works for the largest independent


pulp and paper manufacturer in North America, developing renewable and bio energy.


Richard A. Jentzen (MSW ‘98) was featured in the Chicago Reader’s weekly column, “This Week’s Chicagoan.” He shared his experience as a local hospice worker and reflected on its challenging nature.


Richard Jeziorio (MSW ’98) was working at Evanston/Skokie School District 65 until 2008 when he increased his private practice to full- time. He now provides therapeutic social work services to northern Lake County and southern Wisconsin.


Barb Bryja-Friery (BA ‘99) and Sean M. Friery (BS ‘98) are happy to announce the birth of their first child, a daughter named Grace Ava Friery, on April 6th, 2010.


Mary L. McDaniel (MBA ’98) left work at Northern Trust bank in 2001 and began a career selling real estate on the North Shore. She comments, “It has been a rewarding endeavor and has helped me to be more involved in my local community.”


Donna Santillan (BA ‘98, BS ‘98, PhD ‘06) attended medical school at University of Toledo.


Karen M. Bychowski (MSIR ‘99) is a senior manager at Accenture. She has worked at Accenture since 2000 and is now focused on management consulting—talent and organization.


Stephanie Garcia Ryter (BA ’99) was married at Madonna della Strada Chapel on June 13, 2009.


J. Dolores Paque (MPS ‘99) retired from hospital chaplaincy and the leadership team of SURSUMCORDA, a spiritual directors formation program. She is now concentrating on individual/group spiritual direction, workshops, and retreat work primarily with women and people in ministry.


Gretchen L. Testerman (JD ’99) is married with two sons and works as an in-house counsel in the intellectual property department of


a telecommunications company in Denver.


Matthew T. Whelehan (BSEd ’00) has two children with his wife, Barbara. They are awaiting their third child, due in January.

Patricia Cook (BA ‘00, JFRC ‘99) and her husband, James, welcomed the arrival of their daughter, Evelyn Grace Cook, on July 17, 2012.


Sean Goodwin (BS ’00) is a patent attorney specializing in chemical and nutritional inventions.


Nathan Hoks (BA ‘00) won the National Poetry Series for his second book of poems, The Narrow Circle. The book will be published by Penguin in 2013. Hoks lives in Chicago with his wife and son.


Joy R. Lee (BA ‘00) recently launched a lifestyle blog: www.dime-ink.com. The blog is a rolodex of information catering to women who are more interested in setting trends than following them.


Joseph Manicki (BBA ‘00) was named to the National LGBT Bar Association Best LGBT Lawyers Under 40 (Class of 2012). He is a partner in Sidley Austin’s Chicago office and is a strong advocate for diversity within the legal community.


Scott M. Myslinski (MA ‘00, PHD ‘11) has been teaching theology for the past 13 years at Loyola’s sister school, Loyola Academy Jesuit College Preparatory.


Amy Sinha (BS ’00) and her husband, Donald, welcomed their second baby girl, Isha Lucia, on January 20, 2012. The family recently relocated to Northern Virginia.


Omar M. Tazi (BBA ’00) is a certified general accountant and a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (UK). He is currently working on his CPA.


Nicole A. Uli (BS ’00) is an RN in the Cardiovascular ICU at Good Shepherd Hospital.


Sharletta Clady (BBA ‘01) and Daniel Wojtczak were married on June 16, 2012, at St. Alexander Parish in Palos Heights, Illinois. The couple celebrated their honeymoon in Tahiti.


Irene Darciuk-Lehman (BBA ’01) is CEO of Kreativ Enterprises, a management consulting practice focused on social media, social networks, branding, and advertising on the Internet/company intranets.


Jeffery Davis (BBA ’01, JD ’05) is a partner in the Beatrice, Nebraska, law firm of Carlson, Schafer & Davis, PC, LLO. He and his wife, Brenda (Sabatka) Davis (BA ‘01), welcomed their second daughter, Caroline Margaret, in June 2010.


Linda K. Hatter (nee Sweis) (BS ‘01) gave birth to her daughter, Malaak, on Christmas Day, 2010. Upon graduating from law school, she gave birth to her son, Farah, on June 8, 2012.”


Courtney E. Mayster (JD ‘01) was featured as one of the Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s “40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch.”


Aaron M. Tobler (BS ‘01) just completed USAF Basic Military Training on January 27, 2012, as an Honor Graduate (awarded to the top 10 percent of that week’s graduating class) and started technical school on January 30, 2012.


Carin R. Wolkenberg (BS ’01, JD ’10, LLM ’11) is a civil litigation, real estate, and land use attorney.


Tony Astran (CAS ‘02) and Alyssa Astran, nee Smith (BBA ‘02), welcomed their first child, Alexander Paul Astran, on January 24. He was born in Buffalo, New York.


Olutyin Williams Ayeni (MS ’02) worked in quality assurance and is now a project manager in the financial industry. Ayeni also authored a new book
