G. Martin Mullen (MD ‘77) passed the board exam for heart failure & heart transplant in 2010.
John Irvin (BA ’78), former captain of the Loyola tennis team , was nominated for Pro of the Year honors by the Georgia Professional Tennis Association, a distinction he won in 2004.
Shelley Klaas (MUND ‘78) was named the Iowa School Counselor of the Year this year and went on to
be named one of the top six school counselors in America.
James P. Reichmann (BBA ‘78, MBA ‘86) recently published a peer-reviewed article, “Reviewing the evidence for using continuous subcutaneous metoclopramide and ondansetron to treat nausea and vomiting during pregnancy” in Managed Care.
Karen F. Sheridan (BA ‘78) has been teaching at Oakland University for 20 years. She still acts and directs professionally. She also just took a program to Greece where they studied and directed the company production ofMedea (in English).
Susan Franzetti (JD ’79) established a small law firm in 2008 with former CBA President Jennifer Nijman. The firm handles environmental law matters, providing regulatory, litigation, and transactional services.
Ronald Fritz (MA ’79)worked for the City of Chicago’s Department of Planning (1979) and of Housing (1980– 2004). He retired in May 2004.
Susan D. Matthews ( MUND ‘79) recently published No Longer Silent: The Empowerment of Women in the Gospels.
Joseph A. Skibinski (BBA ‘79)was a former IOM member and controller. Currently, he is building an accounting practice.

Michael David DeGould, DDS (BS ‘80), an oral surgeon, received a patent for his invention of a combination suction retractor for osseous and soft tissue surgery.
James H. Powell (BS ‘81) concluded 30 years of service as a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve in 2011.
Daniel Coughlin (MA ’82) is the former chaplain for the U.S. House of Representatives.
James Gill (MUND ’82) recently taught a course in Celtic Spirituality for Milwaukee Irish Fest Summer School.
Earl E. Rubinoff (BBA ’82) is president and CEO of the Rubinoff Group, LLC, a financial planning and insurance firm and has recently qualified for the Guardian Presidents Council. The firm celebrated its 27th year in business by moving to a more modern office in Deerfield, Illinois.
David A. Svatik (BA ’82) was a soluntion engineer for SunGard Availability Services, councilman for the Town of Copper Canyon in Texas, member of the Community Emergency Response team for Denton County, and, most recently,
an amateur radio operator for N5CMD.
Phyllis O. Tate (PhD ’82) has retired from the Chicago Public Schools.
Gregory Burkett (BS ’83) is a student of spiritual enlightenment since the age of 16. His favorite teachers have been J. Krishnamurti, Dr. David R. Hawkins, and Adyashanti. Burkett lives in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

Aimee Anderson (JD ’84) is the sole proprietor of Aimee B. Anderson Law (tort & civil rights litigation) and a freelance copy editor for academic publishers.
Beth Arnhoff (BA ’84, JD ’88) was named an Illinois Super Lawyer in the area of employment and labor law and one of the top 50 women lawyers in the State of Illinois for 2012.
Dr. Dorothy Corrigan (MRE, MPS ‘84) is the nurse practitioner/program coordinator of the Psychosocial Recovery and Rehabilitation Center at St. Louis VA Medical Center. She is nationally board-certified as a geriatric nurse practitioner.
