CLASS NOTES 1950s


John Boylan (JD ’53) is still active but mostly retired. He has been married to the same woman since 1953 and has eight children and 10 grandchildren.


Martin L. Sturman (JD ’58) retired from law practice in 1998 and began creating streel sculptures. He’s been fortunate to have sold his sculptures nationally and has been named as “one of the Top Ten Steel Sculptors of our time” by Capital Steel and Wire Company.


Frank N. Paulo (BS ‘59) is an active cyclist riding more than 6,000 miles a year. The spring 1992 issue of Loyola magazine had a story of his participation in the famed Paris- Brest-Paris randonnee.


Eugene F. Rados (BS ‘59) retired in 1991 after 31 years with IBM Corp. Since then he has been doing volunteer work in Naperville schools and enjoying retirement, his 13 grandkids, and his first great- grandson.


1960s


Richard S. Brumleve (BA ‘60) was selected to appear in the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation’s 2012 Creativity and Parkinson’s Calendar. Brumleve’s watercolor painting, Tuscan Street Scene, is featured in the month of September.


Michael R. Morawey (BA ‘61) has published his first novel, Long Night Coming, which follows a Jewish family in Munich, Germany just prior to WWII as they battle to free themselves from the clutches of the Nazi SS.


John Crnokrak (BS ’62) finished his second edition of First, Daring & Different. The book is available on Amazon.


Mary M. Graham (BSN ‘62) presents Works on Paper, a one-person show featuring paintings and drawings from a week’s visit to Lithuania in search of her ancestry. The show is at the Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture in Chicago.


Margaret F. Van Wissink (BA ’62, MA ’87) attended DePaul University after Mundelein and completed her MBA in economics in 1993.

Patricia M. Drott (BSN ‘63) was mentioned extensively in Monsignor Michael Boland’s column in the latest Catholic New World. She is the HIV/ AIDS liaison for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago.


Judith A. Van Klaveren, RN (BSN ’64), loves to travel in her spare time. Her latest trip was to Antarctica. When she visits Australia in the near future, she will have been to all seven continents.


Barbara Bradford (MUND ‘65) is living in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, in West Africa. She teaches middle school English at the International Community School of Abidjan (ICSA), which has students from 40 different countries.


Charmaine Hannon (MUND ’65) received her master’s degree in history from Northern Illinois University on May 12, 2012.


Francis J. Larkin (BS ’65) recently retired and moved to Cape Cod in November of 2012.


Annette M. Nigro (BS ‘65, MDIV ‘79) spent 23 years as an advanced certified psych 7& PM&R rehabilitation chaplain at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.


Eileen Crowley (MUND ’66) mourned the loss of her husband, Alonzo Bonds, in January 2010.


Alan P. O’Connor (BBA ‘66) was honored posthumously with a lifetime achievement award by the Arizona Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). The award was announced August 30 at the SHRM State Conference in Phoenix.


Anthony J. Schwegel (BS ‘66, JFRC) moved to New York City in 2010 to be closer to his daughters, Amy and Missy, and two granddaughters, Maggie and Sally. He spends the winter months in North Palm Beach.


Glenn Grzonka (BS ’67) worked for 30 years as an administrator with the Department of Human Services, State of Illinois. He is now retired and a licensed real estate broker working in the Chicago area.


Paul M. Ingevaldson (BBA ‘67, MBA ‘74) published a book, The 9 ½ Secrets of a Great IT Organization: Don’t Do IT Yourself. Ingevaldson retired from Ace Hardware after serving as the senior vice president of international business and technology.


Sharon Rinkenberger (BSN ‘67) has been semi-retired since 2010, but continues to work part time. She is involved in diabetic education and has two children and five grandchildren (four of whom live with her and her daughter).
