endary Ice Follies comedian Dick Dova and, as a surprise guest, the world-famous skating impresario Tom Collins. Olympic champion Ten- ley Albright presented the guest of honor with the Guinness world re- cords certifi cate for longest professional ice skating career. Ice Theatre’s founder and director Moira North presented Dwyer
with the traditional Tiff any crystal ice bucket trophy. Ice Theatre also honored patron Debbie Gordon with the Ice Angel Award, and the Ice Skating Institute with the Arts & Business Partnership Award. The evening opened with a spectacular display of ensemble skat-
ing by the Ice Theatre of New York, featuring Elisa Angeli, Nicole Bobek, Joel Dear, Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre, Sinead and John Kerr, and Ryan Bradley.
appeared in a video presentation that spoke of Krall’s dedication and professionalism. Among those honoring their coach were U.S. bronze medalist Agnes Zawadzki, 2010 Skate America bronze medalist Armin Mahbanoozadeh, 2012 Junior Grand Prix Final competitor Angela Wang and 2012 World Junior silver medalist Joshua Farris. Krall grew up in Colorado Springs and graduated from
Cheyenne Mountain High School and Colorado College. She trained at the Broadmoor Skating Club, winning the U.S. junior title in 1962. Krall went on to claim the U.S. silver medal in 1963, the U.S. bronze medal in 1964 and the U.S. silver medal in 1965. Her fi nish in 1964 earned Krall a spot on the World and Olympic teams, where she fi nished fi fth and seventh, respectively. Following her competitive career, she entered the coach-
ing profession and became an administrator at U.S. Figure Skat- ing from 1996 to 2002. She served as team leader for the U.S. delegation at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City. Krall continues to coach world-class athletes at the Broad- moor SC and has become a national authority with Dartfi sh tech- nology, which is sophisticated video software that measures an athlete’s movements in comparison to those of the world’s best skaters. Colorado Springs Gazette Publisher Dan Steever presented Krall with a plaque at the induction ceremony.
