The Finance Monthly Deal Maker of the Year Awards have earned a reputation as the industry standard for corporate, private equity, investment banking and legal M&A expertise. Individuals are shortlisted by our panel of judges using statistical analysis of Finance Monthly’s deal database before our panel of expert judges decide on the winners. This year's judging panel encompasses decades of experience in corporate M&A and private equity transactions, academia and journalism.
The Finance Monthly Deal Maker of the Year Awards are very special in that they recognise the achievements of those firms and individuals who have engaged and responded most successfully to the demands of the new post-recession business environment and the ongoing global economic turmoil.
The Finance Monthly Deal Maker of the Year Awards for 2012 celebrate the most impressive transactions in Mergers & Acquisitions, capital raising,
corporate bonds,
infrastructure and project finance, loans, structured finance, equities restructuring and Islamic finance.
Reflecting wider transaction trends, the emerging economies excelled, though there was still a lot of noteworthy business being done in the much-maligned Western markets.
The awards recognise financial, legal, tax, due diligence, risk, management and strategic advisory expertise in multiple jurisdictions in Europe, the Middle East & Africa, North and Latin America, Asia and Australasia, as well as excellence for global corporate and private equity advisory.
The past year has seen the green shoots of recovery begin to blossom, although the difficult business environment is ever present, making the success and growth of the winners and finalists in this year’s awards even more admirable. In difficult trading conditions such as these the successful firms innovate and stay fleet of foot to meet the changing business climate head on. The 2012 Finance Monthly Deal Maker of the Year Awards recognise all those that have dedicated their resources to innovation, built on their depth of expertise and performed outstandingly over the year.
