Can you tell us about The Answer Company and the Mining
Software Solutions you can provide to mining companies?
Shawn: The Answer Company has been in business since 1994, and we are a software reseller and implementation consulting firm. With offices in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, we help businesses answer the difficult questions with regards to investments in technology.
Our relationship is primarily with Sage Software, and the mining solution that we provide is called Sage ERP X3. What we’ve done is take the Sage ERP X3 software, which is marketed to a broad base of industries, and
refocused the solution for the specific needs of the mining sector.

What makes your company standout from others?
Shawn: It’s the software we carry; it’s uniquely positioned to address the needs of mining companies and we have experienced significant success with a number of mining companies with the Sage ERP X3 solution.
The Answer Company really brings a local presence through our direct regional presence in Vancouver and Toronto, which are both mining headquarters for a majority of global mining companies.
We’ve taken that local presence and, through the establishment of alliances with partners in other geographies, we are able to provide our prospective clients in other countries with a local presence. Sage is a global company, and has partners in various countries around the world. We reviewed and met with a Sage partner in each geography to work with us as part of our global alliance.
