MabVax Therapeutics Closes $5.25 Million Financing with Numoda Capital Innovations, Burrill Capital Fund IV, and RTP Venture Fund

FUND MabVax Therapeutics, Inc., a privately held clinical stage biotechnology company focused on the development of proprietary immunotherapies to address the unmet medical need of preventing recurrent cancer, announces the closing of the first tranche in their Series B financing.

INVESTOR Numoda Capital Innovations led the round and was joined by existing investors Burrill Capital Fund IV and RTP Venture Fund for an aggregate investment of $5.25 million.

TARGET The additional capital will allow MabVax to continue the development of its phase 2 vaccine aimed at preventing

recurrent sarcoma and its 5B1 antibody program targeting metastatic pancreatic cancer.

PEOPLE MabVax Therapeutics, Inc. is a clinical stage biotechnology company focused on the development of vaccine and antibody based therapies to address the unmet medical need of preventing recurrent cancer. The company believes that passively administered or vaccine induced antibodies against selected tumor cell surface antigens are ideally suited for eradication of free tumor cells and micrometastases that remain after initial treatment and cause cancer recurrence. The company is based in San Diego. MabVax has closed two Series A rounds of venture financing in February 2008 and August of 2009.

General Compression Completes $60 Million Series B Financing

Name General Compression, Inc.

Target continue to fund the company's technology commercialization and project development activities.

Investors Toronto-based Northwater Intellectual Property Funds, US Renewables Group, ConocoPhillips Company, Duke Energy, Serious Change L.P., and the Wellford Energy Group.

FUND General Compression, Inc. announces that it has closed on the final tranche of a $60 Million Series B Financing.

INVESTOR This most recent round of financing was led by Toronto-based Northwater Intellectual Property Funds. Other investors from the Series B or previous rounds in General Compression include US Renewables Group, ConocoPhillips Company, Duke Energy, Serious Change L.P., and the Wellford Energy Group.

TARGET Proceeds from this round of investment will be used to continue to fund the company's technology

commercialization and project development activities. GC's first utility-scale project is currently under development in Texas and will showcase the ability to store intermittent wind generation for use on demand. The demonstration project features a wind turbine integrated with proprietary GCAES™ technology and a salt cavern.

PEOPLE General Compression is a Massachusetts-based company developing utility-scale Dispatchable Wind™ and energy storage projects. Gigaclear successfully completes a new round of financing

TARGET The additional funds secured from a group of private investors will allow Gigaclear to expand substantially the number of communities it can serve with FTTH. This will be good news to the scores of rural communities which have registered interest with the company to bring Gigaclear services to their villages and towns.

PEOPLE Gigaclear, founded in 2010 by Mathew Hare, designs, builds and operates fibre broadband networks in rural UK communities. Its networks

deliver ultrafast internet access at 1000Mbps, delivering broadband speeds in excess of those generally available even in cities. In the last 12 months Gigaclear has built two FTTH networks in the communities of Hambleton in Rutland and Appleton and Eaton in Oxfordshire. Customers are thrilled with the Gigaclear service, being able to communicate, work, entertain and play more effectively and reliably. The group also owns and operates six other rural community internet networks using other technologies such as wireless and xDSL.
