Venture 60
The two wing panels are built separately, pinned flat to the building board and then joined with a plywood spar after the center-sheeting is applied. Note the combination of balsa rear spars, spruce center spars (above left), and the pre- cut vertical webbing that also serves as a jig for installing the ribs. The center section of the wing (above right) is planked with balsa sheet prior to joining the two halves. The sheeting fits flush between the spars, leading and trailing edges.
The precisely cut lite-ply fuselage sides and doublers (below left) fit nicely together and are laminated using either epoxy or slow CyA. Larry chose a Saito .72 4-stroke (below right) for the Venture’s powerplant. The firewall is drilled and mounted for the engine before it is installed in the fuselage. The kit provides the mounting bolts and blind nuts for the installation, but the engine mount and engine are both up to the builder.
The kit provides a special jigging tool cut from cardstock (above left) for installing the instrument panel and the headrest at the correct required angle. Just one of the many helpful thoughts put into the kit. Here is the Venturetotally

framed up prior to covering (above right). Note the light, well-engineered structure. The quality of the wood and the fit of the parts are evident in this photo.
