Hitec’s H4 DC/DC Multicharger
Hitec is pleased to introduce two new products. First is the H4 DC/DC Multicharger, a four-port, computer-controlled battery charger. Its sleek, aluminum design, easy-to-read backlit graphic display and four computer-controlled charging ports with Lithium cell-balancing circuits, make the H4 a hit for all electric airplane and helicopter pilots as well as demanding racers and backyard bashers. Each 120-watt port is capable of delivering up to 8 amps of charging power. The independent charging channels can also be paired to provide two independent 240-watt charge ports, or two 120-watt ports with a single 240-watt charge port. This versatility, along with the H4’s unwavering reliability, safety functions, upgradeable firmware and PC-interface capability using Hitec’s HPP-22 PC Interface, make this a must-have charger.
As with all of Hitec’s chargers, the H4 works with all common battery types, including Lithium, Ni-Cd/Ni-MH and lead acid chemistries. The H4 DC/DC Multicharger (stock #44186) has an estimated street price of $289.99.
Li-Po Battery Checker and Balancer
Next is the Hitec Li-Po Checker. With an easy-to-read LCD display and built-in safety features, the convenience and accuracy of this tool can’t be beat. The battery checking function precisely reviews the voltage of each cell of a lithium polymer pack while displaying the remaining total capacity. The balance operation equalizes the individual voltages of each cell until the difference between each reaches 0.01 volts or less. Although most Li-Po packs’ balancing ports will plug directly into the Li-Po Checker, Hitec also includes an adapter for Thunder Power and Flight Power style plugs. Please be certain to use lithium polymer battery packs up to six cells only. SPECIFICATIONS: applicable battery pack: 2–6S Li-Po; case size: 70 x 38 x 11mm; voltage display tolerance: +1– 1.5%; voltage display resolution: 0.01v; voltage display range: 0–5v; balancing current: 50 mA.
