A sheet of laser-cut parts (above left) is available from Pat’s Custom Models for those who prefer not to have to hand cut their parts. The landing gear components (above right) were bent from .025-inch steel wire and soldered together on a simple jig. The fuselage side frames (below left) are built directly
over the plans. Both sides are identical, so both are built from the same framing plan. The side frames are joined beginning with the landing gear beams (below right). Once the sides are secured to the beams the remaining formers and cross pieces are added.
The completed fuselage frame, with all of the formers and stringers in place and the landing gear added (above left), is ready to install the equipment.
FLYING MODELS
Building the wing (above right) begins with laying out the leading and trailing edges strut mounts and rib bottom sections and tack gluing it all together.
