‘Tis the season to be sexy! Christmas party time is fast approaching, but there’s just enough time to make sure your hair is the talk of the town- not your misbehaviour. To help you look your gorgeous best at all times, I’ve decided to let you into a few industry secrets that never fail to impress. Tink of it as your christmas hair survival guide!
THE OFFICE PARTY
A night I always look forward too, although we’ve all heard the clichés: drunken declarations of love, dissing the bosses where they’re right behind you and the inevitable office snog on top of the photocopier that is talked about for years to come. Busy bees going straight to the party from work needn’t spend hours transforming their do. Plaits and ponytails are the easiest way to achieve a quick and effective transformation from work-to-play hair.

In case of emergencies, always keep grips and travel-size hairspray £9.99 at Oro (plug, thanks Ed !) tucked in your bag. If your hair falls flat whilst dancing the night away, head straight to the ladies for the hand dryer. A quick blast at the roots will help pump up the volume and bring the hair back to life. Ten give your style hold with a little spray.
PLAIT-TASTIC
To transform any style or length into a textured party look, plait medium sized sections of damp hair in the morning all over the head then clamp each section with the straightening irons to set. Before the party, unpick the plaits to reveal sexy, loose waves, and then finish with a light spray for a funky yet sophisticated look. Remember, the bigger the plait, the looser the waves.

One of my personal favourites, ponytails are easy, timeless and simple to achieve, plus they suit most people (even me once upon a time.) No longer just a bad hair day antidote, the ponytail is a sleek, chic hairstyle that can have you ready to party in seconds. Run some serum through the hair, brush and secure it at the base of your neck with a diamante hair band. You’ll instantly look fashionable. For a more contemporary look add volume to the top by backcombing before securing the hair.
