What are the most interesting aspects of your work?


Meeting people. Supporting organisations. Being able to make a difference culturally – making sure that everyone realise that bullying is unacceptable.


It is already an amazing feat that you have achieved, not only in your sporting career but through ‘the Ben Cohen STANDUP FOUNDATION’. What’s next in terms of driving the foundation forward?


We’ve just become established, so now we need to become more visible, becoming more mainstream. We will also be maturing the StandUp brand – which part funds the Foundation.


What makes for a good weekend? Family time.


Best holiday destination and why?


Mauritius, Paradise Island – relaxing and romantic.Hilton Dalaman Resort, Turkey – great for kids.

I want to be known as the man who brought the issue of bullying to the masses, and one that was able to make a difference for many people who were suffering.


If you could be anyone or anything past or present, who/what would it be?


I’d like to have been around during the Roman Empire – just to experience what it was like.


Most extravagant purchase and why? My bed, because I like a good night’s sleep.


Your top movies?


I loved the Die Hard movies when I was younger. I also like the classic ‘Gladiator’ and James Bond.


Which funny recent moment sticks in your head?


When I called Hilary Swank, Hilary Duff in front of 1200 people in New York Public Library at an American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) fundraising dinner.

local boy. When you are back in Northamptonshire, do you have any favourite shops or restaurants you like to visit? Sorrentino’s, Tackerays, Churches Shoes


Your favourite food ? Italian


What are the most important things in your life? Family – my wife and girls.


Is there a fundamental message or legacy you would like to leave people with?


I would like the work of the Foundation to carry on when I’m gone – I want to be known as the man who brought the issue of bullying to the masses, and one that was able to make a difference for many people who were suffering.
