SS13 sees performance fabrics in contemporary styling to enhance the golfer’s look – on and off the course.
W
hile we tend to think of performance fabrics in the likes of outerwear and hi-tech polos, they are increasingly appearing below the waist. Stretch fabrics featuring the
likes of moisture-wicking and UV protective technologies are becoming commonplace in the modern trouser, adding true functionality and extra dimensions to this section of golfing apparel. And while the excesses of the golf-punk flirtation may have died down, its aſter-effects
are still visible in the bold patterning that characterises many trouser products for SS13. With the bar raised on styling, the opportunity to buy trousers for both on the golf course and off it takes a step forward.

TOMMY HILFIGER GOLF MORGAN PANT This Cape Cod check is a brand new design for SS13, with shorts also available in the same Tommy Hilfger cotton. This straight fit, regular-rise pant is available in three leg lengths, of 30, 32 and 34 inches. The garment is part of the New England vibe given off by the brand’s Bar Harbour colour palette. GOLFINO CHECKED TECHNO This trouser from the brand’s Green Label Range is straight cut and flat fronted, and made of a stretch material designed to boost freedom of movement and enhance comfort. The front of the trousers feature slant pockets while at the back there are piped pockets with buttons, plus a Golfino ballmarker.

GLENMUIR FLEMING One of two specialist trousers for 2013 (along with Branwell), Fleming features a modern stripe in navy, charcoal or grey.
