Caribbean Challenge Explore the islands of Middle and North Caicos


by hiking, with a local guide, along the old coastal paths known as the Crossing Place Trails. Once used for trade, the islanders would walk from Pine Barrel Landing in Middle Caicos and wade over to North Caicos when the tide was low; hence the name. Facing north-east and towards the prevailing winds and currents, the beaches along the trail collect large amounts of interesting fl otsam and jetsam including the occasional message in a bottle. A completed circuit is approximately six miles.
