Using the gentle power of water for body contouring and fat transfer

liposuction) and JAFT (jet- assisted fat transfer) are setting new standards in liposuction and fat transfer.

T

Body contouring with WAL Water-jet assisted liposuction (WAL) with the body-jet® evo, the body-jet® and the harvest-jet®, is an innovative, gentle method for surgical body contouring. In this procedure, a pulsating spray or jet of irrigation solution is delivered into the fatty tissue through a special cannula. The gentle spray dislodges the fat from the connective tissue. During this process the cannula is also permanently removing the dislodged fat cells, while sparing subcutaneous and connective tissues. Compared with conventional

liposuction methods, WAL, performed with the body-jet® evo, the body-jet® and the harvest-jet®, allows surgeons to remove fat with significantly less force, as well as having considerably lower medical risks. The waiting time after infiltration is minimised, which greatly reduces overall treatment time. There is no risk of thermal injury and a much lower risk of bruise formation and nerve injury. The strands of connective tissue responsible for skin tightening remain, like tree roots.

Patients who undergo this

procedure have an excellent chance of being virtually pain-free within just a few days after treatment. Most liposuction methods used

to date require a large volume of pre-infiltration to the target area. This means that the natural contours are lost; the body appears inflated. However, this is not the case with the body-jet® evo, the body-jet® and the harvest-jet®. Throughout the procedure irrigation and aspiration occur simultaneously. As a result, the treatment

area shows significantly less swelling, making it easy for the surgeon to assess treatment

results during the procedure. This considerably enhances the surgical accuracy and precision of the outcome.

Fat transfer with JAFT Jet-assisted fat transfer (JAFT) with

the body-jet® evo, the body-jet® and the harvest-jet®, is an effortless way to remove and harvest high-quality fat1

for autologous

fat transfer. During the J-AFT procedure, a laminar water-jet (compare WAL) gently dislodges, washes and harvests fat from selected areas of the body. The fat is collected

in a 50 ❚

separate FillerCollector™ or LipoCollector™ — ready for re-injection to the face, hands, or other parts of the body where rejuvenation and volumising is desired. With JAFT there is no centrifuging or additional processing needed before fat transfer, and the entire procedure can be completed in significantly less time than other fat transfer

procedures. JAFT is a simple, safe and effective procedure that is gentle for patients, while helping to preserve the viability of harvested fat cells1

. JAFT is a gentle way to remove

fat, requiring less force than other methods of liposuction. Traditional or energy-assisted lipoplasty is designed to disrupt and destroy fat cells in order to remove them from the body, while JAFT uses gentle irrigation and low suction power to dislodge and remove fat. In addition, J-AFT doesn’t require classic pre-infiltration, which helps to shorten procedure time and prevents fat cells from excessive exposure to infiltration fluid.
