How my clinic benefits
immense patient satisfaction from CoolSculpting® by ZELTIQ treatment and a prime opportunity for the procedure to complement her existing offerings.

'I use CoolSculpting in my clinic primarily for the upper and lower abdomen, flanks, inner thighs and inner arms, with the most popular area being the abdomen and flanks. In my experience, a large percentage of fat-reducing treatments either require an anaesthetic and puncture of the skin, or have a degree of discomfort or pain associated. I was looking for something that was completely non-invasive and as painless as possible; CoolSculpting seemed to fit these criteria and the data supported its efficacy.
'The success with this
treatment depends on a number of factors; thorough pre- treatment assessment with clear indication of the likely outcome to manage patients' expectations, and an experienced CoolSculpting practitioner who can perform the treatment to contour the treatment areas optimally, with rigorous follow-up and post-treatment photography. 'Before the treatment patients
are sceptical that such an easy treatment could deliver good results. During the treatment patients find the experience comfortable and can easily carry on with work commitments or catch up with their reading. 'Immediately after the
procedure, some patients have described the initial few minutes
as being a little uncomfortable as the treatment area is being massaged, but it is very short lived. Most patients report an improvement at 3 weeks, improving week by week up to 3 months.
'CoolSculpting is a perfect
treatment to combine with RF skin tightening treatments. We assess patients thoroughly before any treatment protocol and in cases where we believe skin laxity may be an issue, we recommend RF skin tightening 3 months post-CoolSculpting treatment. There are a significant number of patients that do not want an invasive body contouring treatment; for these people CoolSculpting is an ideal treatment option and has proved very popular in our practice.'
poses potential technical challenges, particularly with regard to targeting the right tissue depth and unintended damage to other structures close to or within the fat layer. Predictability of efficacy using these other techniques is also uncertain. In contrast, the CoolSculpting® by ZELTIQ procedure using Cryolipolysis induces apoptosis in fat cells only, to gently and gradually reduce the fat layer while preserving all other tissue.
