Make-up has been around for years, but the concept of Airbase is something completely different, so what makes the brand stand out from those that are similar? “Well firstly if we are looking at foundations and the way they are applied, the fact that Airbase is an airbrush make- up sets us aside from similar products. However, it can be applied with a high quality foundation brush.
“The formulation is key to our success as a brand. Not all airbrush make-ups are the same. What you put through the airbrush is critical and this is where Airbase is preferred by many professional make-up artists.”
Marketing and support to their clients is also important to the company as a whole and Lloyd believes that professional marketing is the key to success. “The continuous support by the brand at trade shows means that you, the customer, can see and feel Airbase, meet the team and be safe in the knowledge that we won’t let you down.
“Airbase also takes training very seriously and offers affordable high quality training. With such a new concept in make-up application, we want our customers to feel confident when using airbrush make-up. Therefore, training support and a customer service helpline is crucial in helping to keep us one step ahead.”

2010 Airbase is launched in Ireland with training facilities in Dublin, Galway and Cork. The Airbase website is also re-launched with an upgraded and more informative site. Airbase also becomes the preferred airbrush make-up of Sky TV in the UK.

I am sure on occasions, like any brand, we get things wrong, but I like to think that 99% of the time we fulfil customers’ expectations and beyond.”
With almost 10 years behind them, Airbase has become a brand that is a recognisable name, but for Lloyd this is just the beginning for Airbase:
“I hope that we are only at the beginning. Airbase is now a successful professional brand. The challenge for us is to make the brand into a recognised name to consumers. This will mean increased bookings and sales for our salons and make-up artists as Airbase becomes a renowned ‘must have’ product.”
