OFFICIAL MINUTES 2011 Choctaw Electric Cooperative Annual Meeting

CALLTOORDER CALLTO ORDER


President Mike Bailey called the 71st Annual Meeting of Choctaw Electric Cooperative to order at 11:00 a.m. Mr. Matlock introduced the Trustees and Attorney Bob Rabon.


Trustees present were:


Bill McCain, District A Henry Baze, District E Mike Bailey, District B Bob Holley, District G Bob Hodge, District C Joe Brisco, District F Larry Johnson, District H Buddy Anderson, District D Rodney Lovitt, District I


WELCOME


Terry Matlock, CEO for Choctaw Electric, welcomed the members and introduced special guests in attendance.


The Choctaw Nation Color Guard executed the posting of the colors ceremony: Kasen Whitley led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Stacie Pace sang the “National Anthem”. Reverend Dale Pardue delivered the invocation.


Mr. Matlock addressed the crowd identifying some of the obstacles the electric industry face today. Choctaw Electric continues to look at ways to improve service, maintain costs and

Attorney Bob Rabon reported the bylaws stipulate that 5% of the members must be present in order to conduct business at an annual meeting. As of September 30, 2011, Choctaw Electric had a total of 12,896 members, five percent of that total being 645. As of 11:00 a.m., 1,049 members had registered. Therefore, Mr. Rabon announced that a quorum was present and that the business meeting would proceed.


MINUTESOF ANNUAL MEETING 2010


Secretary/Treasurer Rodney Lovitt reported that the minutes of the business meeting conducted during annual meeting 2010 were published in the September 2011 issue of   and made available at today’s meeting. President Mike Bailey asked for unanimous consent of the minutes as printed in the cooperative’s newsletter be adopted. There being no objection, the

RESULTS OF ELECTION A. Trustee Election


Attorney Bob Rabon announced the election results for the Trustee Election in District G which were as follows:


Bob Holley................136 Bobby Cain................ 17


B. Bylaw Amendments


No bylaws changes were submitted for 2011.


GRAND PRIZE DRAWING The Grand Prize of $1500.00 credit toward their electric bill was won by Daniel Wilson, Antlers.

There being no further business to come before the assembly the meeting adjourned at 11:45 a.m.
