First TransPennine Express is improving its offer to Customers and we’re expanding our team to deliver this.
First TransPennine Express has transformed rail travel in the North of England over the last 8 years, investing more than £260 million pounds in trains and stations, delivering record levels of punctuality and customer satisfaction, and achieving sustained business growth, with a doubling in the number of passenger journeys to 25 million a year. Whilst achieving these business results we have picked up over 50 industry awards including the Rail Business Awards ‘Train Operator of the Year’ in 2006 and 2011.
The introduction of a £60 million pound fleet of new electric trains and a new timetable in 2013 -14 will mean more seats and faster journey times for our customers. To deliver this we need additional high calibre people in our team……

Trainee Train Drivers - Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly - The salary whilst training is £18,892 rising to £40,416 upon satisfactory completion of all training and achievement of competence as newly qualified driver. After two years of being a newly qualified driver, your salary will increase to £43,719 per annum.
Qualified Train Drivers - Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly - £43,719 per annum Senior Driver Instructors - Liverpool Lime Street - £45,719 per annum
