Jerry Seinfeld, along with dozens of Broadway shows and other performances. This season, with Tony-award winning, actress and singer, Bernadette Peters and other international celebrities will help our community celebrate in style as we say, “Happy birthday, RiverCenter. Here’s to many, many more!” It’s a year of milestone anniversaries as the Chattahoochee River
Club celebrates 20 years. Executive Director Wayne Milton and staff invited members for an anniversary party attended by lots of the members, including Bobby Smith, Frank and Pam Feagle, Blake and Debbie Lane, Bunky and Charles Clark, Bill Smith and Celia and Murray Solomon. Chef Alex Sapp and his team wowed the guests with an array of delicious food and desserts that looked too beautiful to eat. And congratulations go to Chef Alex for being named Chef of the Year by the Chattahoochee Valley Chapter of the Culinary Federation of America. On an overcast morning in June, the CB&T Broadway court-
yard was renamed the William B. Turner Courtyard at CB&T in honor of retired W.C. Bradley Co. Chairman Bill Turner. Tough it was a surprise to Mr. Bill, it was not a surprise to the nearly 150 family members, friends and CB&T team members includ- ing Susan Wiggins, Paula Bahr, Helen Johnson, Laura Seavers, Jimmy Blanchard, Jimmy Yancey and Chris Holstein. CB&T President Billy Blanchard noted in his remarks that he hoped he didn’t regret surprising Mr. Bill. “My dad told me, ‘I don’t believe I would have done that,’” the younger Blanchard said to the amuse- ment of the Turner clan. But all kidding aside, it is a fitting tribute to a man who has given so much to our city. Thanks for a lifetime of giving back, Mr. Bill.
