MODA PREVIEW
See the freshest contemporary styles at Moda Footwear
S
pring/summer 13 will see the footwear industry’s leading contemporary and lifestyle brands showing stand-out
collections featuring unconventional designs, new technology, extended ranges and more at Moda Footwear, the UK’s national footwear trade event, which takes place from 12-14 August at the NEC Birmingham.
This August will see Moda Footwear once again
providing buyers with a carefully selected choice of labels to ensure retailers have a complete overview of the new season with the likes of Fly London, Rocket Dog, Base London, Ikon, Skechers, Mustang, Rockport and Geox presenting designs to suit a variety of tastes and budgets.
The huge dip-dye trend can be seen in the new
offering from Fly London as it cleverly incorporates this vibrant design feature in its men’s and women’s washed canvas shoes.
Also injecting a youthful feel to its collection will be Rocket Dog with a street and surf-inspired range. US label Iron Fist will be in attendance for its third consecutive season presenting its instantly recognisable and fun to wear range.
Showcasing its take on what will be a hit for
spring/summer 13 is Base London with textured fabrics, prints and exclusive sole designs for must- have casual footwear with a sports feel.
An expanded collection of men’s brogues will
be seen from Ikon featuring washed leathers and vivid suede detailing for added summer zing.
The successful Moda debut from German label
Mustang in February means the label will be bringing another beautifully designed urban
footwear collection for men, women and children to the show this August. World-renowned brand Skechers will also show its hugely popular lifestyle range of ‘Shape-ups’ and ‘Tone-ups’, plus other men’s, women’s and children’s styles.
Buyers can also look forward to seeing how
brands are developing their offerings with cutting- edge technology for added quality and durability.
Innovative creations will be seen from Geox and
its patented ‘Geox breathes®’ system which uses micro-holes in the rubber sole of the shoe to allow the foot to breathe whilst remaining dry. Rockport will also demonstrate the use of advanced technology in its latest collection.
More brands retailers can expect to see include
Bamboo A, Dude Shoes, Lisa Kay, Mephisto, Marco Tozzi, Olga Berg, Fiona McGuinness, Pixie Footwear, Peter Kaiser, Keds, Primigi, Chipmunks, Bobux and many more.
The ever-popular seminar programme will also
provide retailers with more hints, tips and ideas to make the next six months of retailing the best to date. Topics including PR & marketing, social media, e-commerce and customer service will offer visitors first-rate advice from some of the most knowledgeable people in the business and is something not-to-be-missed.
