Stardraw (www.stardraw.com) marketing director Rob Robinson’s sold his beloved 1985 BMW 325i (200k miles on the clock) to a ‘stunt car builder’ earlier in the year, only to see it dropped from a crane by James May and Jeremy Clarkson as part of a stunt on BBC2’s Top Gear in March. “When I saw what happened, I was strangely conflicted,” Robinson told PSNEurope. “I mean, I was sort of upset... but at the same time, how often do you get to see your car come to an end like that?”

For New Jersey band Karmic Juggernaut’s latest song, Oo Wah Hoo, drummer Kevin Grossman suggested the band stick solar panels on a Subaru Outback and head off to record in their favourite locations. The panels powered a MacBook Pro running Logic Pro, with a 1U Metric Halo ULN-8 (www.mhlabs.com) providing mic pre/converter/interfacing for the Shure SM57 and AKG C 414 mics. Here’s Kevin, going back to the trees... www.karmicjuggernaut.com
