‘Wendy Wu Concierge – The Ultimate Experience’, which it says will be mainly sold through travel agents. ‘Wendy Wu Concierge’ features five-
star hotels, business- and first-class flights and exclusive-access experiences in China, such as seeing the Terracotta Warriors in Xian from a personal viewing platform and the chance to get up close and personal with Giant Pandas. The operator says Bronwyn Clarke, its Concierge Consultant, will be in close contact with agents, including face-to-face appointments, to talk to them about this new programme and guide them through the brochure. The average selling price for a Wendy
Wu Concierge experience is around £8,000 per client.

Starwood Hotels opens in Xian
Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened The Westin Xian in China. The hotel, with 329 rooms and 32 one- to two-bedroom apartments, is located close to the ancient city’s cultural attractions, restaurants, and shopping centres. The rooms feature flat-screen LCD
televisions, rainforest showers, extra-large closets, personal refreshment centres and Westin’s signature Heavenly bed. Uniquely, it has its own museum,
paying tribute to the ancient history of China through over 2,000 artefacts. Located 30km east of the city are the
renowned Terracotta Army vaults, which date back more than 2,000 years and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Westin Xian is 40km from Xian

Universal tees off
Universal Orlando Resort has opened Hollywood Drive-In Golf at Universal CityWalk, two eight-hole courses based on classic drive-in era horror and sci-fi movies. Among the courses' unusual
hazards, players get to tee off through the open mouth of a giant space worm or the basement laboratory of a towering haunted house. The two courses are called ‘The Haunting of Ghostly Greens’ and
'Invaders from Planet Putt,' a course themed after the 'little green men' science fiction films of the 1950s. Designed by Universal’s Creative
team, in partnership with Adventure Golf Design and Development, Hollywood Drive-In Golf is open daily until 02.00. Admission rates to play one course are $13.99 plus tax for adults and $11.99 plus tax for children (ages three to 9).
