It’s… A wide-range high-output permanent install two-way loudspeaker system designed for bars and restaurants where music clarity and aesthetics are crucial.
Details:With two 6.5in woofers and a 1in titanium dome tweeter mounted on a waveguide, the system is capable of controlled coverage, with a hi-fi sound character. Woofer and tweeter
are independently protected from overload. This, coupled with an advanced design crossover network, is said to provide smooth, yet clear sound with low distortion and excellent reliability. Connection is via a locking Euro (Phoenix type) connector with screw terminals. Other features include a
weather-resistant design; vented cabinet; a black injection- moulded ABS plastic enclosure; and a perforated powder- coated metal grille. A wide-aiming mounting bracket is included, and the transformer is equipped with 70.7V and 100V taps as well as an 8-ohm through.
And also: The smooth, rounded design and choice of black or white cabinet ensures the system blends into a variety of environments.
SAME GREAT SHOW AT A GREAT NEW VENUE!
ABTT Theatre Show has moved for 2012. Everything for technical theatre is now under one roof, at the Old Truman Brewery, London.
It’s… A new and improved Cat5-8 receiver unit that’s compatible with all Smart-e products.
Details: A new feature of the SLX- RX214 allows the user to adjust the overall amplitude of the RGB signal helping with colour balancing videowalls, while a new ‘time-out’ facility to the setting mode allows the receiver to return
to its normal operating mode if the buttons are not pressed within two minutes. Cable compensation together with individual colour skew correction can be adjusted using on-screen scroll bars; alternatively, precise cable distances can be input if known. Horizontal and vertical sync polarity previously set by internal
jumpers can now be selected both through the application and via the external buttons, removing the need to detach the lid. The SLX-RX214 can be used for
point-to-point applications together with multi-display installations such as digital signage. Settings can be controlled remotely, something that comes into its own when used in large-scale installations in conjunction with the company’s smartCore2 scaleable Cat- to-Cat matrix. Picture quality is maintained across all inputs by dynamically adjusting the settings using Smart-e’s SmartiP control software.
And also: Pictured is a new downloadable configuration application, which allows EQ, skew, gain and sync polarity to be set via RS- 232 – either locally at the receiver via serial cable, or remotely from the transmitter/matrix.
