Twice as Nice Lapp, Peck keep Florida club team thriving in
midst of Gators’ ascendant varsity program By J. Jude Hazard
Seniors Lauren Lapp and Brittini Peck have Florida’s club women’s lacrosse team poised to make a deep run in the 2012 US Lacrosse Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Associates (WCLA) Division I National Championship held May 9-12 in Colorado Springs. And they’ve done it all without a coach. Lapp and Peck are co-player coaches. The Gators posted a regular season record of 14-2 in which they outscored their opponents 201-116. Ten of Florida’s 16 opponents were ranked in the top 20 at the time of the matchup. “It’s funny, because some of the other teams will ask us where our coach is,” Lapp said.
