Irwin Tools Leads The Country

In A Celebration Of Our Tradesmen IRWIN Tools, manufacturer of hand tools and power tool accessories for professional tradesmen, will lead a huge

celebration of trade professionals during 2012 and is asking the UK to join them and support the campaign to ‘Show Some Love For Our Tradesmen’. The UK campaign will launch in March with a dedicated website at www.nationaltradesmenday.co.uk and continue with

more than 50 events all over the UK throughout the year, culminating in a global ‘National Tradesmen Day’ on 21st September that will officially salute professional tradesmen, and highlight the importance of their work to the Great British Public. Throughout the campaign IRWIN will be inviting trade professionals to visit them at trade shows, retailer and merchant

branches to pick up lots of free stuff as their way of saying thanks and rewarding the hard working trade heroes that keep the country running strong. The list of great items that tradesmen can get courtesy of IRWIN includes free t-shirts, free tools, free tradesmen packs and even free food! In addition, IRWIN are giving tradesmen the chance to try out the latest and greatest new products from IRWIN as well as

enter regular competitions to win thousands of prizes and take advantage of some exclusive deals on hand tools and power tool accessories. The strapline of ‘Show Some Love For Our Tradesmen’ will be at the heart of the campaign which will also see businesses

all over the UK partnering up with IRWIN to offer special benefits to tradesmen, from a free cup of tea or bacon sandwich to business support and advice. Backed by a full media advertising campaign that will feature the

winners from IRWIN’s previous Ultimate Tradesmen Challenge competitions as the ‘faces’ of the campaign, national media advertorials will also run in the build-up to National Tradesmen Day. These will feature stories about IRWIN Tradesmen that have gone the extra mile to get the job done and will highlight real people in the industry doing great work every day in the UK, from builders and plumbers, to electricians and carpenters. IRWIN’s Senior Channel Marketing Manager Paul Jakeway said: “Gone

are the days of lazy stereotypes and misunderstandings, we want to lead the country in celebrating our UK Tradesmen and thanking them for the honest work they do. Many of our tradesmen go the extra mile for their customers every day and the stories we have found demonstrate that. We want to raise the profile of our tradesmen and highlight the importance they play in society to keep things in working order.”
