Generators/Pumps/Pressure Washers
Energy for the Future In the modern world we are faced with ever increasing challenges when it comes to producing the power we need. Climate change coupled with high oil prices and increasing government support for renewable energy is stimulating new advances in the way we produce power. According to projections by the International Energy Agency, solar power generators may produce most of the world’s electricity within 50 years, dramatically reducing emissions of greenhouse gases that harm the environment. We are also seeing an increase in wind farms, one of the latest being a proposal to install one 13 kilometres off the Sussex coast with between 100 and 195 turbines. This massive renewable project could produce enough electricity to supply the equivalent of 450,000 homes a year. With increasing pressure on our dwindling natural resources, manufacturers continually seek to improve the efficiency of their products to conserve these
precious resources. At present we are facing hosepipe bans in many parts of Britain after a prolonged spell of low rainfall. Many industries are producing and bringing to the market new products to cope with this challenge, an example being pressure washers that make use of rainwater harvesting. The range and variety of products in these categories is continually growing and it is important to keep abreast of changes and opportunities within this market
for both sales and hire. A New Generation From SDMO
During the next few months, SDMO Energy Limited, the UK arm of the power generation giant SDMO Industries, are making preparations to unveil several new products, each designed to provide clean power for a variety of applications. First from the production line are the iPro 2000 and iPro 3000 inverter generators. These brand new
products are manufactured in Japan and powered by a Yamaha petrol engine. iPro generators utilise the very latest inverter technology and are super quiet, making them ideally suited for applications where noise restrictions apply. Both iPro generators re fitted with an auto-idle function and produce constant, clean and stable electricity suitable for powering electronically sensitive equipment. The iPro 3000 is fitted with a useful electric start facility. Also making its debut at in the coming months is another SDMO development, the Diesel 6000E Ultimate.
This a 6.0kVA super-silent, fully bunded, professional site generator, manufactured to incorporate a host of features and benefits, including remote starting. The generator is powered by the latest Kohler diesel engine, which includes a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty and is available either skid mounted or made portable with a two-wheel trolley kit. Completing the innovation line-up, and with the focus on fuel efficiency, SDMO have developed the Perform
3000LPG gas powered generator. The Perform 3000LPG is a portable, 3.75kVA, generator fitted with the latest Kohler engine, which may be fuelled by petrol or LPG gas. The use of LPG gas is particularly beneficial in situations where any fuel spillage needs to be prevented.
