PLAYING THEIR CARDS RIGHT Social games giant PopCap has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest video games marathon playing a card game. Laura Rich from Cardiff (pictured here at the Sea Life London Aquarium) and Kathleen Henkel from New Jersey played the company’s Solitaire Blitz simultaneously for 30 hours.

30 whole hours. We can barely manage ten minutes before we get caught and told to get back to work.

OFF THE RECORD

BUNGIE BUDDIES UP WITH A BEATLE Sir Paul McCartney is working with Halocreators Bungie on a video game soundtrack, presumably for its Activision-published series Destiny. “I’m really excited to be working on writing music with @bungie, the studio that made Halo,” the musical legend and Beatles man tweeted. And doesn’t he look thrilled, fingers splayed in a celebratory jazz hands motion, as Bungie music boss Marty O’Donnell talks him through the project. Here’s hoping this one works out better than The Beatles: Rock Band.
