Facebook Blackjack is “play for free” with the objective of progressing players

It will allow operators to create engaging relationships with their players, driving brand loyalty among land-based players and creating new communities.”

Evolution goes Paf E

volution Gaming has signed an agreement with Paf that will enable the Åland -based charitable gaming company to enter the Live Casino market with three online dedicated tables. This first ever Paf Live Casino service will feature one Live Roulette and two Live Blackjack tables available to online customers 24/7. Each live table will be set in a fully-branded dedicated environment, complete with rendered backdrops and dealers dressed in Paf company attire. Paf, the “good cause-driven gaming company” originated on the island of Åland in the Baltic Sea. The company was founded there

not for tax reasons but because voluntary organisations on the island decided in 1966 to pool their resources and generate money for good causes. Paf is publically owned and operates under a licence from the Åland government. Fredrik Osterberg, Evolution Sales Director, commented: “We are delighted to

be working an organisation that raises huge sums for good causes and uses profit to improve lives. This is Paf’s first venture into Live Casino and we are proud to provide the Live Casino platform that gives them the flexibility they need, not only to launch but also to grow and develop the service in the future.”

Bodog seized B

odog founder Calvin Ayre has been indicted by federal prosecutors in Baltimore and the Bodog.com domain name has been seized by the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. The U.S. Attorney in Baltimore

alleges that Ayre and three other defendants - James Phillip, David Ferguson and Derrick Maloney - are charged with conducting a gambling business as well as money laundering. “Sports betting is illegal in Maryland,” said Attorney Rod Rosenstein, “and

federal law prohibits bookmakers from flouting that law simply because they are located outside the country. Many of the harms that underlie gambling prohibitions are exacerbated when the enterprises operate over the internet without regulation.” In a statement on his own site Calvin Ayre said: “I see this as abuse of the U.S. criminal justice system for the commercial gain of large U.S. corporations. It is clear that the online gaming industry is legal under international law and in the case of these documents is it also clear that the rule of law was not allowed to slow down a rush to try to try to win the war of public opinion.”

nternational Game Technology (IGT) has signed an agreement with mobile and social technology firm Joingo to launch a MegaJackpots mobile app. The new service utilises the Mobile Application Platform from San Jose-based Joingo and has become its first US customer-facing mobile brand offering players immediate access to real-time jackpot levels and information on ‘their favorite MegaJackpots products’. Steve Boyle, Chief Executive Officer for Joingo, said: “With identical stand-alone apps utilising ‘push’ technology for iPhone, Android, and Blackberry plus mobile web and MMS/SMS for feature phones, IGT can seamlessly reach 99 percent of mobile users; an exceptional feat in the very fragmented mobile domain.” IGT claims that its new app utilises ‘location awareness’ technology to supply ‘geographically relevant details’ on its featured games, where to play and winners with players able to download the new service via the iTunes Store, Android Market or Blackberry AppWorld.
