003 mHEALTH IS BECOMING A BOOMING INDUSTRY
Mobile Health, otherwise known as mHealth, is set to become a booming industry within the healthcare sector, especially in the Middle East. Currently, Middle Eastern governments are spending vast amounts of money on the construction of healthcare facilities, and these facilities are prime to adopt mHealth. Designed and developed using the latest specifications, designs and IT infrastructure protocols, these facilities are expected to use mHealth to increase patient care, patient experience and ultimately reduce costs. As a relatively new area within the healthcare sector, this supplement aims
to introduce the ideas and concepts behind mHealth and the potential it has to revolutionise healthcare, not only in the Middle East, but worldwide. Informa Exhibitions are also launching a new m+
Health conference stream, to be held
alongside the Middle East Hospital Build and Infrastructure Exhibition and Congress in June this year, to further explore the topics and gain further understanding of mHealth from like minded peers. I hope you enjoy this supplement and I look forward to welcoming you to the mHealth conference at Hospital Build in June, here in Dubai.
