ISIT THE WWW.MOUNTPLEASANTMAGAZINE.COM WEBSITE for more than what you see in the print magazine: more stories, more photo- graphs and more information.

There’s a theme running through this edition of Mount Pleasant Magazine that has

little to do with women’s issues, encouragement to green up your life, the Bridge Run or tennis. I discovered it when reviewing all the articles to determine what we can include in Web Extras for this issue. That theme is following your heart, working at something you are passionate about

and finding your own bliss. Many – and maybe even all – of the people in our stories for this edition have found

the ancient work/life balance statement of Confucius to be true, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Through varying avenues, they have arrived at their life’s purpose. Whether or not you have arrived yourself, we hope you will enjoy reading about these

happy and purposeful Mount Pleasant residents. Visit our website for even more informa- tion about them and their passions. And share your own journey or destination in the Comments section at the end of the articles or on our Facebook page. Sharing your story may help someone else find their way, too. As usual, we had too much content this month to fit within the confines of our pages.

Visit the Web Extras page on our website to read more. Many of our print articles also contain extra information when posted on the website, so spend some time poking around. You might find recipes from Black Bean Co. with the Lowcountry Extreme Makeover ar- ticle and myriad places to stretch your creative muscles after the Fear No Easel profile. To test your tennis

knowledge with our Family Circle Cup trivia questions, click on this image. Think you know all there

is to know about the Cooper River Bridge Run? Try the Bridge Run trivia questions

by clicking on this photo, taken of co-founder Terry Hamlin at the first run in 1978. Are you reducing, reusing and recycling all that you can? Click this photo to find out

what items you can toss into your big blue bin, what should be taken to the county convenience centers and where they are located. Wondering where you can

take your gently used cloth- ing and furniture items to resell them? Or to purchase nice clean pre-owned items yourself? Click here for the complete list of Mount Pleasant thrift, resale and consignment shops.
